The “Doom Loop” is actually a defined business concept in Jim Collins Good to Great.
It’s when you:
a.) Find a new direction
b.) Enter a new program
c.) get a new leader
d.) start a new event
e.) react to a new fad
without having any plan of action, no accumulated momentum, no buildup, no direction. You then get disappointing results and react poorly, without understanding what went wrong.
I’ll add: f.) LIVE YOUR LIFE (since i’m not asking Jim’s opinion)
How often do we react poorly and without understanding to the many situations in our everyday lives? Instead of plowing forward with no direction, sometimes it’s better to slow down, eliminate, and refine the desired outcome of your actions. In our relationships with others, reacting without pause can have unintended consequences which we didn’t expect.
Better than “dooming” yourself by getting anxious and rushing through, is to not let your thoughts get the best of you, analyze your situation, and respond, not react. Then you’ve made a choice instead of the choice making you.

Hi, Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.
